 It's Summer!

Wow! It’s hard to believe it’s already the first day of summer. Spring and summer are my favorite times of the year. We have already started some of our annual summer concerts. We’ll leaving out tomorrow to New York and Maine, then back to North Carolina and ending up in Pennsylvania on Sunday. This week is one of my favorite weeks of the summer. We have already started clearing the field getting ready for homecoming in 5 weeks (July 23/24). Even though we have a lot of wonderful concerts between now and then, I’m already getting excited about homecoming! Our friends Jeff and Sheri Easter are with us on Friday night (7pm), the Bowlings, CS&K, and New River Band will be with us on Saturday (6:00pm). We found out last week that our radio song “Why Should I Worry” went from 21 to 8 on the Singing News charts. Congratulations to the writer, Rick Simpson, and thanks to all the DJs for playing it! We are so thankful when great songs come our way.
