Hey Friends,
Our 21 day fast is finally over. I can honestly say I absolutely LOVE sweets, meat, and bread. (In that order! LOL!)
We are very excited about starting the Gaither Homecoming Tour this week. We will be doing several dates with them this spring. We have already enjoyed working with Frank Arnold, Bill Bailey and Norm Basden. We have also been to some places we’ve never been before and have met some wonderful new friends.
This year will mark my 30th year of traveling full time. The main thing I love about working for the Lord is that there is no age limit! (It’s a good thing!) It sounds funny, but the older I get, the more I love my job. Those of you that know me know that “retirement” will never be in my vocabulary. I tell everyone that I love my job, but most of all I love my boss! I can go to Him anytime and He’s always there.
We are leaving tonight heading to Florida , but we’ll be home for Super Bowl Sunday! Don’t ask me who’s playing who! It will be nice to be in our own home churches on Sunday.
Thanks for all the nice comments about Jeff Hawes. He is such a blessing to our ministry. It’s nice having a high school teacher on our bus! He helps Matthew and Kari with their English essays and they really enjoy working with him. As always, we want to say a very special thanks to all the DJs for playing our music. “Why Can’t all God’s Children Get Along” is currently #3 on the charts. We are so thankful to all of you for calling in and requesting it. We’re hoping it will go to #1 next month! I will keep you posted.
Tomorrow is Susan’s birthday. If you get a chance, go to her Face Book wall or shoot her an e-mail. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful sister to travel with. She is a great person.
Please continue to pray for us as we travel and come see us when you can.
Love you, Karen
